Lieutenant Colonel CHARLES J. BARTON

Lieutenant Colonel Barton entered the Air Force in 2001 after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy. After completion of Joint Specialized Undergraduate Navigator Training at Randolph Force Base, Texas in 2003, he became qualified as a navigator on the RC-135 operated by the 55th Wing located at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska in 2004.

Lieutenant Colonel Barton has served at the Squadron, Group, MAJCOM, Air Staff and Joint levels. He is a Senior Navigator with more than 2000 hours in the RC-135,TC-135, T-1 and T-43. He is also an AFRICOM Foreign Affairs Officer. Prior to his current position, he served as the Director of Staff for the 338th Combat Training Squadron located at Offutt AFB, Nebraska.
