Air Force Recruiting Service (AFRS)
The U.S. Air Force Recruiting Service (AFRS), headquartered at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph Air Force Base, Texas.
The AFRS strategically merged with the Jeanne M. Holm Center for Officer Accessions and Citizen Development, at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, under the Air Force Accessions Center (AFAC) on December 1, 2024, to create a unified and efficient pipeline to attract and train top talent for the Department of the Air Force.
This consolidation is a key component of the Air Force's effort to ensure the right people are in the right jobs at the right time.
MISSION
The mission of the AFRS is to Inspire, Engage, and Recruit the next generation of Airmen and Guardians. As the primary accessions arm of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force, AFRS is responsible for sourcing qualified and talented individuals to fill critical roles across the services.
The service is responsible for accessing:
· 100% of the Air Force's enlisted force.
· 90% of the service's health professions officers.
· 100% of chaplains.
· Approximately 16% of line officers.

PERSONNEL AND RESOURCES
AFRS has recruiting squadrons across the CONUS, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, in addition to other squadrons focusing on the Pacific region, including Japan, Guam, and South Korea. To find a specific recruiter, you can use the recruiter locator on the official Air Force website.
ORGANIZATION
Personnel: The service includes more than 3,700 personnel, with approximately 2,000 recruiters operating out of 1,275 recruiting offices across the United States.
Structure: AFRS is composed of four groups and 32 squadrons, which are further divided into flights that cover specific geographic areas. The groups are:
· 360th Recruiting Group: New Cumberland, Pennsylvania.
· 369th Recruiting Group: JBSA-Lackland, Texas.
· 372nd Recruiting Group: Riverdale, Utah.
· 367th Recruiting Group (Air Force Reserve): Robins AFB, Georgia.
AFRS also has a recruiting presence in England, Germany, Italy, Japan, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands.
SPECIALIZED RECRUITING AND TRAINING
To meet diverse mission needs, AFRS operates specialized squadrons. Each active-duty recruiting group has a dedicated officer accessions squadron. Additionally, the 369th Recruiting Group oversees a specialized squadron responsible for recruiting special warfare candidates across the entire nation.
New recruiters are sourced from other Air Force career fields and attend a rigorous seven-week training course at the Air Force Recruiting School at JBSA-Lackland, Texas, to prepare them for their mission.
