BASIC Enlistment Qualifications

* Must be at least 17 years old to apply with parental consent

* Must be at Basic Military Training before age 42

* Must obtain at least a 31 on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) to qualify; 

the higher the score, the more likelihood of joining and a larger selection of career fields

* Must meet medical, physical and moral qualifications

* If not a U.S. citizen, must have a legal permanent resident visa

 ENLISTMENT QUALIFICATIONS

 

Officer Training School (OTS) College graduates can Commission into the Air Force after graduation by attending OTS, a rigorous 9.5-week training program.

Healthcare, legal and ministry professionals transitioning into the Air Force from the private sector can attend Commissioned Officer Training,

a 5.5-week program organized into four phases designed to help ease transition.

 

Air Force Academy Located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USAFA is one of the

most elite educational institutions in the country.

 

AFROTC Two to four-year college program offered through 1,100 Cross-Town Universities,

which are colleges that allow students to participate in AFROTC at one of the main 145 Detachments.

     

Individuals can select multiple.
