"Why I Serve" -- 364th RCS recruiter Published Sept. 12, 2011 By Staff Sgt. Kristen E. Andrade Borbor 364th RCS RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Staff Sgt. Kristen E. Andrade Borbor, 364th Recruiting Squadron enlisted accessions recruiter, joined the Air Force 12 years ago after passing up a scholarship to St. Louis University, Mo. Her senior year of high school, she sat down with her mom and discussed her options for pursuing her plans and goals. "I didn't want to be like everyone else," she said. "I was the only person out of my graduating class of about 115 that joined any branch of service." "I absolutely love and enjoy everything the Air Force has given me, provided me and allowed me to do," she said. "It is my honor to share these exact same benefits and great life with others. To know that I am changing folks lives, especially in this day and age w/the economy the way it is, gives me great pride. When I see one of the new Airmen that I put in the Air Force walk back into my office, it brings me great joy. Not only am I changing and molding their future, but I'm helping create the future of the Air Force." Andrade Borbor's motto is your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.
