Headquarters AFRS Airmen and civilians receive high level awards

Several Headquarters Air Force Recruiting Service Airmen and civilians were awarded Department of Defense and major command level awards recently.

The Air Education and Training Command announced the annual award winners for 2010 at a banquet following a week of Professional Development here.

AFRS Public Affairs received the AETC Crisis Communication Excellence 2010 award for their media response to changes in the Air Force tattoo policy. 

Senior Master Sgt. Kathleen McCool, AFRS Recruiter Screening Team superintendent, earned the AETC senior noncommissioned officer of the year for 2010. She will go forward to compete in the Air Force level awards. 

Tech. Sgt. Kenneth Raimondi, AFRS Broadcast Operations non-commissioned officer in charge, was awarded Military Videographer Top Feature of the year for his video, "30 days in Afghanistan: Day 12" and awarded Honorable Mention for his video, "30 days in Afghanistan: Day 29." His videos were judged by industry professionals at the Defense Information School at Fort George G. Meade, Md. He was also awarded first place in the 55th Annual Air Force Media contest for his TV spot production "Choice: Brandon Bernstein;" and won first place in the AETC Media Contest for his radio spot production "Nurse," and first place for his TV spot, "Choice: Brandon Bernstein."

Tech. Sgt. Jeffery Wolfe, AFRS national advertising photographer, won second place in the AETC Media Contest for a photo portrait.
