Country star Tracy Lawrence treats his fans and radio listeners to an hour of holiday and inspirational music on this year's "Red, White and Air Force Blue Christmas."

The program is distributed to more than 4,500 country and Christian music radio stations across the nation as well as American Forces Radio and Television affiliates.

In its 15th year, the one-hour radio special includes songs from Lawrence's "All Wrapped Up In Christmas" album plus tracks from his 2010 Grammy-nominated inspirational album "The Rock." The show is produced and distributed by the Air Force Recruiting Service's Strategic Marketing and Communications Division.

"I'm truly honored to be a part of this year's Red, White and Air Force Blue Christmas," Lawrence said. "Many of my biggest fans are the men and women in uniform protecting our freedom and liberty."

Tech. Sgt. Ken Raimondi, Air Force broadcast producer and program host, co-produced the special with Spotland Productions in Nashville. Lawrence who has recorded 15 albums and 27 top 10 hits during his two-decade career, shares his thoughts on what Christmas means to him and his family.

"It's my favorite holiday and always has been," he said. "It found a new meaning for me after I started my family. When we had our children we created our own unique traditions. It's also a joyful time of the year to be thankful for all the wonderful things that you have in your life."

According to Jimmy Spacek, Air Force Recruiting Service broadcasting manager, "Red, White and Air Force Blue Christmas" helps program directors by providing a fully produced show with breaks for local commercials. "The entertainment and public service program is intended to ease their programming worries over the busy holiday season," he said. "It also promotes awareness of Air Force service opportunities."

In a personalized greeting to program directors, Lawrence thanked those who've supported him throughout his career and said this year's Christmas program is a way to show their support for the American service members serving worldwide, many who can't be home for the holidays.

And to those serving in the military, the singer added, "Thank you so much for your service. A lot of times people don't take the time to tell you that we do appreciate your sacrifice and your dedication to our freedom. And, come home safely."
