Recruiting recognizes 2008 annual award winners Published March 30, 2009 By Christa D'Andrea Air Force Recruiting Service Public Affairs RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Eight Air Force Recruiting Service Airmen were recognized in an annual awards ceremony here March 30 for their outstanding contributions to the recruiting mission. The 2008 AFRS Annual Award winners are: -- Capt. Meaghan Meyers, Company Grade Officer of the Year, 319th Recruiting Squadron, Portsmouth, N.H. -- Master Sgt. James Dailey, Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year, 341st RCS, Lackland AFB, Texas -- Master Sgt. David W. White III, First Sergeant of the Year, 331st RCS, Maxwell AFB, Ala. -- Tech. Sgt. Clint Healey, Noncommissioned Officer of the Year, 345th RCS, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. -- Tech. Sgt. Mark Terry, Recruiter of the Year, 349th RCS, Tinker AFB, Okla. -- Staff Sgt. Jamey Pritchard, Junior Enlisted Member of the Year, 332nd RCS, Nashville, Tenn. -- Mary Jane Currier-Wannyn, Category I Civilian of the Year, 313th RCS, Syracuse, N.Y. -- Mary Hale, Category II Civilian of the Year, Headquarters AFRS, Randolph AFB, Texas. "This is a great day for recruiting. The recruiting service is blessed with phenomenal people who do amazing work every day. We pause today to recognize these few winners who were chosen because they represent your commitment to excellence," said Brig. Gen. A.J. Stewart, commander, addressing members of AFRS. "I want you all to know just how much your leadership appreciates you. The least we can do is show our appreciation for your dedication and contribution to the mission with these annual awards." Sergeants Pritchard, Healey, White and Dailey will go on to compete at the Air Education and Training Command Outstanding Airman of the Year competition.
