The club's General Manager Jim Reading was awarded the Air Force Recruiting Salutes award by squadron commander Lt. Col. Todd Weyerstrass Dec. 29, 2008. "Bronson Athletic Club is proud to assist Air Force recruiting by allowing applicants to utilize the facility to improve their health, fitness, and training" Mr. Reading said. The Bronson Athletic Club helped the Air Force, local recruiters, and Delayed Entry Program personnel, by granting unlimited access to their state-of-the-art facility at no cost. Additionally, personal trainers employed by Bronson volunteered their time to help Special Tactics recruits improve their techniques and endurance prior to entering active duty. Gobles, Mich. native Airman 1st Class Corey Delich, currently attending pararescue technical training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, was on hand to participate in the award ceremony. "The Bronson Athletic Club is an absolutely first-rate facility, and everyone associated with Bronson, from Mr. Reading to his star trainers like Ms. Rebekah Bolt, have truly embraced the Air Force. Their willingness to support not only Master Sgt. Michael McMillen and A Flight, but all of the 339th Wolverines, has been vital to our recruiting success and to keeping our team fit to fight," Lt. Col. Weyerstrass said. "It was an honor to present this award on behalf of Air Force Recruiting Service and our squadron."
