The 331st Recruiting Squadron recently recognized a Lafayette, La., businessman for his public service and support to the Air Force recruiting mission.

Louis Dupuy, who owns three Julien's PoBoy's locations here, was awarded the Air Force Recruiting Salutes award by squadron commander Lt. Col. Mike Brantley July 14.

Mr. Dupuy has helped the Air Force and local recruiters by allowing them to hold group events at his restaurants, giving 50-percent discounts to all military members and their families, and by displaying Air Force handouts in all his shops.

"Mr. Dupuy has provided exceptional support to not only our Air Force recruiters, but to all military families in the area," Lt. Col. Brantley said. "The Salutes award is just a small token of our appreciation for all he has done."

He also has a link on his restaurants' Web page that goes directly to the AIRFORCE.com Web site to help people get information on the Air Force.

The 331st Recruiting Squadron has recruiting offices throughout the Southeast including the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Georgia; covering a region approximately 99,000 square miles.
