The 364th Recruiting Squadron unveiled its newest asset recently. A decked-out "Predator" customized golf cart that debuted at the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR race held at the Infineon Raceway NASCAR race in Sonoma, Calif., June 22.

This EZ-GO golf cart features a customized lift kit, off-road style wheels, and diamond plating designed to catch the eye of potential recruits.

After working the race last year, Staff Sgt. Justin Gress and Tech. Sgt. Michael Hecker saw other golf carts used by vendors. The 364th just had to get one of their own as a recruiting tool, which they refer to as the "Pimped-out Golf Cart," according to Sergeant Gress.

"The NASCAR race was the perfect venue for the debut of The Predator, since it was the event that spawned the idea to get the golf cart in the first place" said the 364th RCS marketer.

The Predator was a big hit and received high praise from racing fans. The cart will make the rounds to various marketing events in the future that include school visits, air shows, and locally purchased venues throughout Northern California.

Distinguished visitor Lt. Gen. Norman R. Seip, 12th Air Force commander from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Ariz., greeted fans and helped promote Air Force awareness.

Four A-10's from the Air National Guard 188th Fighter Wing, Fort Smith, Ark., flew over Infineon Raceway during the National Anthem to kick off the race. Starting the race in the top ten, new driver Marcos Ambrose drove the Air Force NASCAR No. 21 car working his way up to second place at one point. During lap 83, No. 21 was hit from behind, which broke a gear in the transmission; he was unable to finish the race putting him in 42nd place.
