The Air Force begins its eighth year of sponsorship in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with its new contract with the No. 21 car owned by Wood Brothers Racing organization for the 2008 season.

Air Force Recruiting Service, which oversees the sponsorship and marketing of the Air Force No. 21 car, sees the continued business association with the Wood Brothers team as a fantastic opportunity for race fans to learn more about the Air Force.

"We are thrilled to have the Wood Brothers Racing organization as partners for another NASCAR season with the Air Force '21' car," said Col. Tim Hanson, AFRS Chief of Strategic Communications. "The Air Force is all about speed, agility and pushing the boundaries of technology and we believe those features align well with this great American sport and its fans."

As an associate sponsor, the Air Force had its unmistakable dark blue paint scheme featured on the No. 21 car during eight of 38 NASCAR races in the 2007 season and will do the same next year. The Sprint Cup was formerly known as the Nextel Cup.
