Air Force Week in New York
David Muir and Robin Roberts of “Good Morning America” stand outside the show’s studio Aug. 26, 2010, with members of the 313th Recruiting Squadron during Air Force Week in New York City. After an appearance on the show, squadron members went to Times Square where they conducted a Delayed Enlistment Program swear-in and a promotion ceremony. Air Force Recruiting assets on hand included the Engage Tour, Command Center Alpha, two Air Force Monster Trucks and the Orange County Chopper. The Air Force Drill Team from Bolling AFB, Washington, D.C., also displayed their sophisticated skills of precision rifle-spinning and the rock band Afterburner from Hanscom AFB, Mass., moved the crowd with their performances. “We're proud to showcase America's Air Force here in Times Square,” said Lt. Col. Robert D. Roy, 313th RCS commander. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Steve Acevedo)
