Exceptional communications
U.S. Army Lt. Col. Bryan Truesdell, center, 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion commander, and Command Sergeant Major David Clark, left, award Maj. Mark Rogers and members of the 506th Expeditionary Communications Squadron Information Systems Flight special recognition coins before the flight's return home from Iraq in January. Army leaders at Kirkuk Regional Air Base recognized the deployed Air Force Recruiting Service communications configuration management chief and his 30-Airman shop for providing outstanding telephone and computer network communications for about 5,400 Soldiers, Airmen and Department of Defense employees at Kirkuk RAB from September 2006 to January 2007. The major attributes his flight's success to their diligent practice of maintaining open lines of positive communication between Airmen and Soldiers throughout their deployment. (Courtesy photo)
