Exceptional communications

Lt. Gen. Gary North, Commander, U.S. Central Command Air Forces, awards Maj. Mark Rogers, 506th Expeditionary Communications Squadron Information Systems Flight commander, a special recognition coin Dec. 25, 2006. The general recognized the deployed Air Force Recruiting Service communications configuration management chief for his exceptional leadership of a 30-Airman shop lauded for providing outstanding telephone and computer network communications for about 4,000 Soldiers and another 1,400 Airmen and Department of Defense employees at Kirkuk Regional Air Base, Iraq, from September 2006 to January 2007. The major attributes his flight's success to their diligent practice of maintaining open lines of positive communication between Airmen and Soldiers throughout their deployment.
