18-year-old set for medical college with Air Force scholarship

Maria Kravchenko states the Oath of Office administered by retired Brig. Gen. James Albritton, a Kravchenko family friend, in Gainesville, Fla., Aug. 7. The newly commissioned 18-year-old Air Force Reserve second lieutenant attends medical school in the fall with help from the Air Force Medical Corps Health Professions Scholarship Program. Under the four-year program Ms. Kravchenko’s tuition, fees, books, equipment and other various educational expenses are covered.
