Each year, our worldwide military installations compete for the Commander in Chief’s Annual Award for Installation Excellence. This award, instituted in 1985 by former President Ronald Reagan, recognizes the outstanding efforts of the men and women who operate and maintain installations across the military. Of our 183 United States Air Force installations, we are pleased to announce two finalists and two honorable mentions for the Air Force’s 2019 Commander in Chief’s (CINC) Installation Excellence Award (IEA).

Finalists: Ramstein Air Base, Germany and McConnell Air Force Base

Honorable Mentions: Joint Base San Antonio and Cannon Air Force Base

After site visits to Ramstein AB and McConnell AFB in January 2019, the Air Force’s nominee for 2019 CINC IEA will be announced later this spring. Congratulations to our finalists!
