Staff Sgt. Kenneth A. Meier, 337th Recruiting Squadron recruiter from Bayville N.J., joined the Air Force over eight years ago because he had an epiphany while working at his previous job.

"I realized that I didn't want to go by in life doing the same old boring thing day after day," he said. "The Air Force has given me the opportunity to always be challenged, rewarded and to continuously evolve."

Meier finds inspiration from his family.

"Being a positive role model for my daughter, as my father was for me, is what drives me to always do my best," he said. "It's a great feeling knowing that your family is proud of your effort."

His personal motto is: 'Brush it off and keep moving.'
