AETC officials announce latest key officer assignments

Air Education and Training Command officials recently announced senior officer assignments affecting key Air Force Recruiting Service command positions.

Col. Mariano C. Campos, Jr., currently the commander of the 372nd Recruiting Group at Hill AFB, Utah, is to take command of the United States Military Entrance Processing Command at Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Ill., as of March 31.

Replacing Colonel Campos at the 372nd RCG is Col. Mark D. Ward, who currently serves as the chief of the Intelligence, Operations & Readiness Division at the Directorate of Intelligence and Air Operations, Headquarters AETC, Randolph AFB, Texas. Colonel Ward also assumes his new command on March 31.

In other news, Lt. Col. Gary S. Trautmann picks up the reigns of command for of the 2nd Air Postal Squadron at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, leaving his current role as chief of Information Systems at Headquarters AFRS. Likewise, Maj. Sean S. McKenna, chief of HQ AFRS public affairs, takes command of the 344th Recruiting Squadron, headquartered in Arlington, Texas.
