Col. Dustin H. Hansen is the Deputy Commander of the Air Force Accessions Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. The Air Force Accessions Center oversees the Air Force and Space Force’s largest officer accessions sources: Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, Reserve Officer Training Corps, Warrant Officer Training School, Officer Training School, as well as all enlisted accession sources. He helps lead 6,315 military and civilian personnel responsible for training and leadership development of 98,640 cadets across 1,012 global locations and accessing more than 45,000 people annually.
Col. Hansen entered active duty through U.S. Air Force’s Basic Military Training and later received his officer commissioning through the U.S. Air Force Officer Training School. He served in staff and leadership roles at Flight, Squadron, Group, Numbered Air Force, Air Staff and Combatant Command echelons. He deployed in Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and directed Air Force Weather Support Operations in Central and South America, aiding U.S. Southern Command’s Counter Transnational Organized Crime mission. Col. Hansen served in Air Command and Staff College’s Department of International Security as an instructor for Leadership and Command and National Security. Prior to his current position, Col Hansen served as the Commander, 673d Mission Support Group, 673d Air Base Wing, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
