Col. Jeremy J. Farlaino is the Commander, 372d Recruiting Group, Riverdale, Utah. He leads more than 750 personnel across 24 states (including Alaska and Hawaii), U.S. territories in the Pacific, and the Pacific Rim, recruiting Enlisted personnel, Officers, and Health Professionals to serve in more than 150 Air Force and Space Force specialties.
Col. Farlaino earned his commission from Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida, on April 27, 2002, through the Scholarships for Outstanding Airmen to ROTC program. He has a prior enlisted aircrew background as an Airborne Communications Specialist aboard the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma and HC-130P Combat King, a combat search and rescue aircraft at Moody AFB, Georgia.
In 2004, He completed pilot training at Vance AFB, Oklahoma, and received an assignment to Charleston AFB, South Carolina, where he began his career as a C-17 Globemaster pilot. In 2016, Col Farlaino was the 517th Airlift Squadron Director of Operations at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska., where he was responsible for directing operations and training for eight C-17 aircraft and over 130 C-17 pilots, loadmasters, and support personnel executing Rapid Global Mobility for United States Indo-Pacific Command and United States Transportation Command.
He then took command of the 367th Recruiting Squadron in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he was responsible for 10 flights and 88 personnel throughout 8 states in the Western United States between Wyoming and New Mexico. Prior to his current position, he was the Director of Staff at Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. He was responsible for leading the Air University Commander’s 150-member headquarters staff executing guidance and initiatives for 7,500 members and a 550 million dollar budget, supporting the development and implementation of university plans and policies while assisting the commander in the day-to-day administration of the education of over 350,000 students annually.
