LIEUTENANT COLONEL FRANK J. MAILKI JR.

Lt Col Frank J. Mailki Jr. is the Commander, 339th Recruiting Squadron, Clinton Township, Michigan. He directs and operates recruiting activities for 9 enlisted accession flights with 97 active-duty and civilian personnel. His squadron covers a 71,000 square-mile area that includes the state of Michigan, and portions of northern Ohio, northern Indiana and eastern Illinois. His unit’s mission is to inspire, engage and recruit future qualified Airmen and Guardians to deliver air and space power for the United States of America.


Lt Col Mailki enlisted in the Air Force Reserve in March 1997 and completed the Security Forces Apprentice Course in November 1997. He transferred to active-duty service in February 2000. Following his graduation from Park University, Lt Col Mailki commissioned through Officer Training School in August 2007 and completed the Intelligence Officer Course in July 2008. He has served in a variety of operational and tactical assignments in Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Alaska, the Republic of Korea, Canada and Colorado. Prior to his current position, Lt Col Mailki was the Branch Head for Target Intelligence and Deputy Chief, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Division, Deployable Air Command and Control Center, Poggio Renatico, Italy.


Lt Col Mailki has completed nine deployments in support of Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, DESERT SAFESIDE, and SPARTAN SHIELD.
