Major Micah D. Bluto

Maj. Micah D. Bluto is the Commander, 351st Recruiting Squadron, Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga. She leads a squadron of 100 airmen responsible for the accessioning of new Citizen Airmen to the Air Force Reserve. She also advises wing leadership on manning requirements and recommends changes necessary to keep the wings at congressionally mandated levels, while ensuring recruiters target qualified, prior and non-prior service prospects to effectively meet Air Force Reserve Command end-strength.

Maj. Bluto earned her commission in 2011 through Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB, Ala., after being selected through the Deserving Airman Commissioning Program. She has served in the Air Force for 26 years, with 13 years in the enlisted corps. From 1998 to 2012 she worked as a Network Administrator for various organizations in the Air Force. In 2010, she transferred from Active Duty to the Air Force Reserve component, where completed Intelligence Officer Training in January 2012, and primarily supported MQ-9 remotely piloted combat operations as both an Analyst and Instructor Targeteer. 

Maj. Bluto also served as the Chief of Intelligence for the 726th Operations Group, Chief of Advanced ISR and Threat Integration for the United States Air Force Warfare Center, Chief of Targets for the 732nd Operations Group, Executive Officer for the 726th Operations Group, and Intelligence Flight Commander for the 78th Attack Squadron, Creech AFB, Nev. and 429th Attack Squadron, Holloman AFB, N.M. Additionally, she deployed to Tuzla Air Base (AB) in Bosnia-Herzegovina in support of OPERATION JOINT FORGE and Al Dhafra AB in the United Arab Emirates in support of OPERATION SOUTHERN WATCH. Prior to her current position, the major was the Director of Operations for the 350th Recruiting Squadron, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J.
