How to Apply

HOW TO APPLY FOR RECRUITING DUTY 


Step 1: Log in to MyVector 
Go to MyVector and select Assignments from the menu. 
Navigate to the Talent Marketplace Dashboard and choose EQUAL Plus / 365 Deployments. Click Begin to start your application. 


Step 2: Search for the Position 
In the search bar, type Enlisted Accessions Recruiter or search using AFSC: 8R000. 


Step 3: Apply for the Position 
Select the Enlisted Accessions Recruiter advertisement corresponding to your rank and click Apply. 


Step 4: Complete all required fields and click Submit to officially submit your application.

Recruiting Duty

Recruiting Duty: Process Phases 


Phase I: AFPC Eligibility Review 
Applicants apply through Talent Marketplace. AFPC reviews PCS eligibility, assignment eligibility and CFM release. 

Phase II: Screening Process 
Applicants complete application requirements and interviews with their leadership team (First Sergeant, Commander & Command Chief) and submit once completed. Recruiter Screening Team reviews application to determine if qualified. 

Phase III: Recruiter Interview Process 
Interviews are conducted with applicants who are tentatively qualified. Applicants receive a Highly Recommend, Recommend, Non-Recommend, or Not At This Time. 

Phase IV: AETC/AFPC Assignments Process 
All Highly Recommends/Recommends are officially hired and moved to AETC. Recruiting Technical School is scheduled and the assignment process begins.

Frequently Asked Questions 


How much Time on Station (TOS) do I need to be PCS eligible? 
36 months. 

What rank can apply to become a recruiter? 
Senior Airman & Staff Sergeant.  

How long is the recruiting tour? 
Four (4) years. 

Do recruiters receive additional pay? 
Yes. $450 per month in Special Duty Assignment Pay (SDAP). Also receive a supplement annual clothing allowance ~$301. 

Do I need a driver’s license? 
Yes. A valid driver’s license is required to operate government-owned vehicles. 

Do recruiters deploy? 
No. 

If I am not qualified, can I apply for a waiver? 
Yes. Waivers may be considered on a case-by-case basis (medical, moral, PT, tattoo determinations). 

If I am disqualified, can I apply again? 
Yes. Recruiting Duty is advertised monthly and you may reapply once qualified. 

After Phase II, how long until I am hired? 
Approximately 4–6 months from Phase II notification. 

What happens if I miss a deadline? 
Extensions may be granted. Communication is key. 

Can I apply while deployed? 
Yes.
