Lieutenant Colonel KYLE S. WILKINSON

Lt Col Wilkinson is the Commander, 338th Recruiting Squadron, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. As commander, he leads and directs the recruiting activities of seven enlisted accessions flights with approximately 98 active duty and civilian personnel.  The 338th RCS area of responsibility encompasses 52 recruiting offices, and three military entrance processing stations spread across Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, and Illinois.  The squadron’s mission is to inspire, engage, and recruit future Airmen and Guardians to deliver air and space power for the United States of America.

Lt. Col. Wilkinson earned his commission in 2007 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has served in a variety of assignments, with duties including personnel and promotions analysis; recruiting and teaching in the ROTC program at Texas State University; and research, development, and operational fielding of information operations and intelligence technologies.

Prior to pursuing a PhD in Operations Research, Lt. Col. Wilkinson served as a joint planner and assessor for USCYBERCOM. There he led the campaign assessment team to develop initial capabilities for the nascent combatant command. His team's work forged key feedback mechanisms for plans and programs/budgeting, cyberspace operations, and staff processes. In addition, he oversaw the command's yearly response to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff's Annual Joint Assessment.
