Lieutenant Colonel Bryan J. Davis is the Commander, 331st Recruiting Squadron, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. He is responsible for the recruiting activities of seven enlisted accession flights with approximately 100 active duty and civilian personnel. The squadron covers a 100,000-square-mile area that includes Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana.
Lt Col Davis received his commission in 2008 via ROTC. After completing Intelligence Officer Training in 2009, he was assigned as an Intelligence Officer to the 55th Pararescue Squadron, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz. Lt Col Davis has served in various other operational intelligence assignments at Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz., Los Angeles AFB, Calif., and Scott AFB, Ill. He is a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School as well as the Defense Language Institute and was previous advisor on European and African regional affairs to the four-star Commander, Air Mobility Command.
Lt Col Davis has deployed overseas on multiple occasions, supporting US Special Operations Forces (SOF) under Operation Iraqi Freedom as well as French Task Forces in the Sahel under Operation Barkhane. Prior to his current position, Lt Col Davis was a Defense Policy Advisor supporting the U.S. Ambassador to NATO and the Secretary of Defense Representative, Europe. He was the primary representative of the United States on NATO’s Council Operations and Exercises Committee (COEC).
