Chief Master Sgt. Derek Hudson serves as the Operations Superintendent for the Air Force Reserve's 367th Recruiting Group, based at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. In this role, he develops and implements operational strategies to drive the reserve recruiting force forward, collaborating with senior leadership and field personnel to advance the Air Force's mission. His responsibilities include overseeing policy development, training, waiver processing, data analysis, and production. As a key advisor to the recruiting commander and AFRC directorates, he plays a crucial role in achieving the Air Force Reserve's annual recruiting goal. His efforts bring in new citizen airmen to support 3 Numbered Air Forces, 37 Wings, and meet AFRC's end-strength manning requirements.
Chief Master Sgt. Hudson is a native of Denver, CO. He joined the Air Force in July 1999. After Basic and Technical Training, he was assigned to the 9th Fighter Squadron, Holloman AFB, NM as a tactical aircraft maintenance technician where he worked on the F-117a Stealth Fighter. In Feb 2003, he deployed to Al Udeid AB, Qatar in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In January 2004, Chief Hudson volunteered to become an Air Force Recruiter and has since excelled in multiple positions to include, Line Recruiter, In-Service Recruiter, HQ Production Analyst, Flight Chief, and Senior Enlisted Leader for both RegAF and AFR.
